KUDOS Week 3

Sorry for the late post everyone!

April- Character and setting-  I really liked your anticipatory set. I feel as though this would get students engaged in the learning and excited about learning.

Marley- Clouds- I am really impressed with this idea. It would take a lot to prep for but I believe the students would absolutely love it.

Rebekah- Oven- I really liked your idea for the solar oven. You did a great job presenting. You did not seem nervous in any way.

Karen- firework song- I really enjoyed your idea. Your lesson plan seemed very detailed and would gt the students engaged.

Kudos week 2

Jacob- I really liked your handout. Edgar Allan Poe presentation for figurative language was a great choice. You hit all of the required sections of your lesson plans. It was great!

Allison- I really thought your lesson plan on retelling stories was very detailed. I liked your objective and your checking for understanding.

Miranda- Very strong objective. I thought the use of the video for the beginning is great. I felt as thought this could be a great lesson for 1st graders that they would love.

My presentation- I was very nervous. I just would like to thank everyone. Your presentations really helped me adjust mine.

Kim G-  I really liked your participatory set. The kids would love that. Your guided practice was great also!

Kudos to the Ingenious Presenters

I arrived late to class because of basketball practice. So I will have to catch up with Andrews presentation on a 7th grade curriculum.

I really enjoyed Jessica's because she started her lesson in a very interesting way. I think she would be able to grab the attention of her students. When we first started learning about lesson plans I did not see the importance of an anticipatory set. I thought it was just another set in teaching. This can be one of the more important aspects of a lesson plan. Great job Jessica developing ways for your students to buy in.

I also liked how Ali G checked for understanding. It is always important for teachers to make sure their students are 'receiving' the information. You could spend years developing the perfect lesson plan but it would be useless if you have no idea if the students learned something from it. Great job Ali!

Tiffany I really liked the idea of a weather notebook. I think this will allow them to buy into the lesson a bit more because they will get to possess something that helps them in class. Great job!

Angela I really liked how you improved upon your first presentation. You added a lot more detail and your lesson seemed to really have a goal. Good job!

I present next week and I wish good luck to those who present next week also!
